Freddie III
Freddie III is part of a long line of mice sworn to protect the Botanic Gardens. Since the time this photo was taken, he has gone on to sire many children, including Rico, Eliza, Jim, Kyle, Sara, and Freddy IV.
Ralph
Ralph moved to DC in 2012 for a Senate internship, but quickly became disillusioned with politics. He now hangs out in Lincoln Park NE, listening to hipsters play violins and begging for treats.
Terrence
Terrence is a sophomore majoring in acorns at The University of Michigan.
Martina
Hailing all the way from Czechia, Martina is shy and does not speak English, but seems to like lil scratchies and rubs behind her ears.
Leroy
Leroy hasn’t moved from this spot in 37 years, but would like you to know that he’s doing just fine. One day, he’ll flop down off his rock, but for now he’s content just waving at boats.
Paula and the Boyz
Trashy but classy, Paula and her Boyz come out at just the right time to delight Vancouver parkgoers!
Betty
Residing in a small lot outside one of Vancouver’s many bad metro stations, Betty receives a truly suspicious amount of lettuce, delivered daily in re-used takeout containers.
Susan
Susan likes to be seen as a protective mama bear, but secretly she’s just a diva who loves the spotlight.
Theo
Theo is a cow, but likes to pretend he is many things: sometimes a buffalo, sometimes a horse/donkey like his brothers and sisters, and sometimes (such as in this photo here) a sweet lil baby!
Skittles
Skittles has no direct relation to Toby (that we know of), but they both demonstrate an uncannily similar desire to show us their butts.
Wanda
Wanda is pretty sure she knows who lives in that house, but would like you to check it out and let her know.
Bartholomew and Peter
This horse/donkey combo pack enjoys spending time together, despite one being a tiny lil guy (Bartholomew) and the other being an just average sized “still not big enough for rides” boy (Peter).
Inez
Inez is just big enough to ride, but just precious enough that we wouldn’t even think of it!
Oscar
Oscar is a sweet boy who loves his crate and LOVES being cozy.
Gary
Raised in Dumbarton Oaks, Gary is a proper young man who is taught not to seek the spotlight, but is known to partake in a cheeky lil picture here and there—if you ask nicely. 🙂
Emma
Emma is a lake girl who loves kisses and being too heavy to sit on you—but she’ll do it anyway.
Choomp Boomp
Choomp Boomp is a hungry boy who likes to swoomp and loomp. One day soon he will melt and reform as a beautiful butterfloomp.
Claire
After his life was saved by Franklin and Toby December 2023 Fan of the Month Claire N., this snail (originally called Stuart) formally changed his name to Claire in honor of his hero.
Samantha
Samantha is a round lil queen who loves rubs and pets — on her terms.
